Labiaplasty in Las Vegas

Who Is A Candidate For Labiaplasty?
Women who have large or irregular labia minora and wish them reduced in size for hygienic, personal, or functional concerns.

Why Do I Have An Enlarged Labia?
You may have developed enlarged labia after child birth or you may have inherited it.  Regardless of the reason, the labia can be reduced in size to help improve your self-confidence or discomfort.

How Is The Labiaplasty Performed?
A simple amputation of the labia is not recommended as this leaves an unnatural appearance to the labia.  An amputation leaves a linear scar in the center of the labia with a color mismatch of the pink inner labia and the darker outer labia.  Rather, Dr. Cambeiro uses a “V” wedge resection of the labia.  This leaves a scar on the inner and outer edges of the labia and does not disrupt the natural surface.

What Is The Recovery Time?
The majority of patients experience mild discomfort and swelling.  Depending on your occupation, you may return to work within a week.  Sexual activity in not recommended for six weeks after the procedure.  You are instructed to keep the area dry and clean.  The majority of the sutures are absorbable.

Are There Complications With Surgery?
As with any operation it is ensured that you are in good health to undergo the procedure.  Some of the risks include, but are not limited to bleeding, infection, poor healing, wound separation, labial asymmetry, labia that are smaller or larger than desired, and the need for a potential second surgery.
